The international cooperation of Chongqing University Press (CQUP) includes copyright trade, information service and other services related to publishing and printing. CQUP now is going to expand its international cooperation in more areas such as joint publishing and distributing globally. Any cooperative intention of these kinds will be welcomed.

Since the establishment of International Cooperation Department (ICD) in 2001, CQUP began engaging actively in international cooperation. The purposes of international cooperation are just as Mr. Zhang Gesheng President of CQUP said: “Making friends, promoting cultural exchange and keeping up with the development of times.” That's also the spirit which guides us in international cooperation.

After these years commitment to the international cooperation, our friends are all around the world. The partners of CQUP including those prestigious publishers like McGraw-hill, Pearson Education, Thomson Learning, SAGE Publications, John Wiley & Sons, Taylor & Francis etc. all think highly of CQUP. This is mainly because every cooperative project between our partners and CQUP has been done with great care and efforts, and finally has all been turned out to be a success. We also engaged actively in innovation of ways of international cooperation, the practice of publishing adapted edition of original one widely used in copyright trade in China today was initiated by CQUP.

The start of international cooperation involved a lot of hard works and efforts of the initial group of three diligent and hardworking people, one of whom was Ms Chen Xiaoyang former director of ICD. She is now the vice editor-in-chief of CQUP, Among her other duties she's still in charge of directing international cooperation of CQUP in a higher level and perspective.

She always said: “The management of international department must be in accordance with those of international standards, each member of international department must hold it in mind to devote himself/herself to this course, and each partner and client of us must be satisfied.” This actually is the guideline of the work of the international cooperation and surely be one of the most important reasons for the achievements we've had.

Today the team of International department is young and energetic, with the new leadership and commitments of all team members, and with the strong support of the press--------the total sales of which reached over 100 million in year 2005, the team is fully prepared to extend its effort to make even more friends, to further promoting the cultural exchange and to have extensive cooperation with more publishers from all over the world.
